Feivel

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Description Update: 25.01.2026 New Pictures. Feivel is now an adult. Due to his insecurity, he should not be rehomed with small children. 31.10.2024 New Measurements, New Photos, Additional Description: Feivel is now approximately 35 cm, goes well on the leash, and is not yet house-trained. The young male dog is still fearful of strangers; he needs a dog in the family to look up to. Feivel is playful, loves ball games. He sleeps through the night and is compatible with other dogs. 07.10.2024 Ivory is now named Feivel. New measurements, new photos, new location. Feivel needs a confident only dog in his new home, he is still somewhat shy. Our foster home reports: Ivory came to the Romanian shelter in Campulung with his mother and sister as a very small, emaciated puppy. Ivory's mother was thrown stones by neighbors, injured, and chased away in her greatest need, as she desperately searched for food on the streets and in the trash. The smaller mother dog lost two of her puppies due to the harsh living conditions on the streets, and unfortunately, despite the engaged animal welfare workers' efforts, help came too late and they sadly passed away. Ivory and his physically larger sister Tiffy survived and could at least grow up in the large Romanian animal shelter. Meanwhile, the mother dog was happily rehomed, and Ivory and his sister secured excellent foster homes in Germany, where they are thriving. Ivory is friendly, lively, and playful, initially a bit shy in the first contact. Ivory likes playing with his fellow animals but is not a daredevil. The cuddly young dog very much likes people, but he needs a moment to get to know and trust them. The little one is categorized as a peaceful, relaxed companion who, however, has only been exposed to a few environmental stimuli and household situations so far. Ivory should still be introduced to our everyday life with loving and patient guidance. Ivory practices going up stairs playfully with his caring foster dad. The foster home assumes that the sweet, little fur-nose will likely be small to medium in size and thus have a very practical final body size. In a future, preferably rural home, no younger children who cannot read a dog should live. Ivory wishes to move into his own home as soon as possible and arrive as a full-fledged, loved family member. Who offers the timid, young male dog a worry-free life? Please note:

Beschreibung Update 25.01.2026 neue Bilder30.05.2025 neue Bidler.

About Feivel

What life with Feivel looks like

Feivel is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Feivel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Feivel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Feivel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Feivel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Feivel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Feivel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Feivel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
