adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Feli has found her people! Her story: The cute puppy Feli has already overcome challenges at the beginning of her life. Together with her mother and her siblings Lui, Sylvi, Ivy, Ramon, and Fawkes, she was found alone on the street at the beginning. Her belly was already swollen, and the icy cold she was presumably exposed to for a longer time made the little one suffer a lot. Despite our colleague's great dedication, we were very concerned that not all the siblings would be able to win the fight for survival. But by a miracle, they all made it and are now enjoying excellent health. Despite this sad beginning, the little female dog, with her about two months, already shows how much joy and hope are in her. With her flowing fur and her sweet dark eyes, she is a true beauty. Feli has her whole life ahead and would so much like to discover how beautiful life can be far away from the shelter with your heart's people. So far, she has not had the chance to learn what life in a household is like. Therefore, she is looking for a family that will help her learn the basics like house training and leash manners with patience, love, and positive training. Feli will certainly have a lot of fun growing together with her people and mastering the Dog 1×1. After an adjustment period, a visit to dog training classes would also be a great way to continue learning and make new friends. Like all young dogs, Feli will soon enter puberty, a time when she might have her own mind. But with loving consistency and understanding, she will get through this phase well and grow into a faithful companion who will enrich her family with her joy and character. For Feli, we are looking for a warm home with people who will give her time to settle in and who want to give her a life full of security and love. Do you want to give Feli a loving home and welcome her as a new family member? A special thank you goes to Felizitas, who gave Feli her beautiful name and thus the chance to find her family. As of: 16.01. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 16.01.2025

About Feli

What life with Feli looks like

Feli is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Feli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Feli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Feli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Feli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Feli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Feli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Feli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
