adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Feline can stay forever in your foster home! Her story: Feline and her siblings Gimli, Franz, Amir, Odo, Ferdinand, Siska, Kiri, Malia, and Lidy had a truly difficult start in life. Their mother, Fee, gave birth to the litter in an abandoned house in a village near Zalau. The neighborhood found out and wanted to kill the puppies. Our animal rescuer, Sonia, saved the mother and the ten puppies and brought them to her home in the garden. As the puppies grow very quickly and Sonia can only keep them until mid-February, the little ones are desperately in need of a home. Feline, who apparently masters the most loyal dog gaze perfectly, looks simply irresistible with her light fur and mysterious face mask. She already weighs a proud 7 kg on the scale and is likely to grow even more, as her mother stands at 63 cm. Feline is typical for a puppy, very playful. She loves people and enjoys being petted. Whether she also likes other animals, we are not sure. She needs to be accustomed to a leash and harness, but that shouldn't be a problem. Feline is looking for people who don't expect anything from her at first and show her how a normal dog life works. She is still a baby and has a lot to learn. One or two mishaps shouldn't be held against her, and she should always be guided with a positive training style. She is looking forward to her new life with beautiful nature walks, many cuddle hours, and also a visit to puppy school. Puppies should not be left alone as much as possible in their first year of life. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the little rascals' lives upside down. They "forget" much of what they have learned and their ears are on full alert. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to train consistently but lovingly. But there is also good news: It is only a phase, and it will pass! Feline travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, with her EU pet passport in her luggage. A foster home would be very, very helpful. Thank you, Mia, for giving Feline a name and thus an identity. Status: 07.01.

Stand: 07.01.2025

About Feline

What life with Feline looks like

Feline is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Feline, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Feline?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Feline on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Feline if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Feline already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Feline isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Feline and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
