Felix

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 6 months

Felix (born 04/2026) is a cheerful, playful puppy with a very special look: his small "eyebrows" are particularly noticeable, giving his eyes a unique expression. With his long legs, the currently about 43 cm tall young male will probably grow into a handsome dog. However, his final size cannot be reliably estimated at this time; he is expected to reach about 50-60 cm when fully grown. Age-appropriately, Felix is playful and full of curiosity. He particularly enjoys playing and wrestling with his fellow dogs, showing how much he enjoys playing together. Felix has only recently arrived at his foster home and is now gradually learning the basics of being a dog. Much is still new to him, but as a young dog, he brings the best prerequisites for learning and discovering the world with his humans. Attending a good dog school would be a great way to accompany him on his way to becoming a confident adult male. Felix is now missing his own person or family who enjoys accompanying a young dog as he grows up, lovingly setting boundaries and learning with him. Felix is not yet neutered, vaccinated, or microchipped due to his age, and will be placed with a protection contract after a positive preliminary check. A safety harness is required when picking up the dog. Such a harness (3 straps) can be purchased for only 25€.

About Felix

What life with Felix looks like

Felix is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Felix, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Felix?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Felix on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Felix if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Felix already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Felix isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Felix and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
