Felix will zurück aufs Land

Tomcat Felix was born wild in early spring/early summer 2021 and was caught by the Cat Help in October and placed with a foster home. From the end of October, he lived with us, where he initially mostly lay under the sofa, and had fear of other people. Over time, he became more tame, playful, and rugged, developing into a magnificent tomcat who enjoyed the nature around the house and spent hours wandering in the woods and fields. In summer 2023, a move to Ulm took place, where there was a garden and an adjacent community garden next to the house. At first, the tomcat seemed to be doing well there. But unfortunately, he limited his excursions more and more. When the neighbor's garden was completely transformed and "closed off" by the owners, his frustration was evident. In the second year after the move, Felix became increasingly unbalanced, he hardly left the house anymore, and I had to realize that the move to the city was not a good prospect for him. He misses his territory and longs for the extensive walks. Who can help us? I would like to find Felix a place where he can be happy and have enough room to run. A land tomcat will likely not find his territory in the city in the long term. He is now 4 ½ years old and can definitely adapt well if the surroundings fit.

Kater Felix wurde im Frühjahr/Frühsommer 2021 wild geboren und im Oktober von der Katzenhilfe eingefangen und auf einer Pflegestelle untergebracht. Ab Ende Oktober lebte er bei uns, wo er anfangs meistens unter dem Sofa lag, vor anderen Menschen hatte er Angst. Mit der Zeit wurde er immer zahmer, verspielter und verschmuster, er entwickelte sich zu einem prächtigen Kater, der die Natur rund ums Haus genoss und stundenlang in Wald und Wiesen unterwegs war. Im Sommer 2023 erfolgte ein Umzug nach Ulm, wo es am Haus einen Garten und eine angrenzende Kleingartenanlage gab. Anfangs schien sich der Kater dort recht wohl zu fühlen. Aber leider schränkte er seine Ausflüge immer weiter ein und als der Nachbargarten von den Eigentümern komplett umgestaltet und „dicht gemacht“ wurde, war ihm die Frustration anzumerken. Im zweiten Jahr nach dem Umzug wurde Felix immer unausgeglichener, er verließ das Haus kaum noch und ich musste einsehen, dass der Umzug in die Stadt für ihn keine gute Perspektive bietet. Er vermisst sein Revier und sehnt sich nach den ausgedehnten Spaziergängen. Wer kann uns weiterhelfen? Ich möchte dass Felix einen Platz findet, wo er glücklich ist und genügend Auslauf hat. Ein Landkater wird wohl auf Dauer in der Stadt nicht sein Revier finden. Er ist jetzt 4 ½ Jahre alt und kann sich bestimmt gut eingewöhnen, wenn das Umfeld passt.
