Profile: Age: Born around June 2024 Gender: Female Spayed: Yes Temperament: friendly, polite, reserved, curious, compatible with fellow animals Size: approx. 43 cm In shelter since: July 2024 Siblings: Mama Marli, brothers Skittles, Mona, (brothers Filibert, Tippy – already boarded) Hello, dear people out there, I am Felka, a very loving female dog with black fur and a sweet white nose, which gives me a special look! Together with my mother and my four siblings, we were rescued from the streets, where we were always in danger of being hit by passing cars. Since then, I have lived with my family in the shelter, but my heart, which is exactly in the right place, longs for a real home. I am a playful, loving, and politely reserved female dog who wants to explore life with all its adventures. Here in the shelter, I have already learned a lot and am always full of joy when I can play with my siblings. But I know that there is still so much more out there waiting for me – especially a family that will love me just as much as I will love them. My biggest wish? A place in your heart and on your sofa! I am ready to share all my affection and joy with you. If you are looking for a lively and curious companion who will enrich your life with love and fun, then please get in touch. I can hardly wait to show you how much heart I have! Yours, Felka If you are interested in Felka, please fill out our Prospective Owner Form () or send us an email or a message on Facebook. Felka is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel spayed (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. Margret K.-A. has taken the guardianship for Felka and ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!. Gets along with other dogs.

About Felka

What life with Felka looks like

Felka is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Felka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Felka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Felka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Felka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Felka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Felka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Felka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
