FENIX

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Feniks is a young, small male dog born around 2023, which means he is currently only 3 years old. He was taken in from a difficult intervention. His painful past has left a deep scar - he is a very withdrawn dog and at the moment he is very afraid of people, fearing another injury. Feniks is at the beginning of his adult life: he still has many years ahead of him that with the right, understanding owner can turn into the most beautiful story of returning to trust. He weighs only 13 kg - it is a slim, compact and extremely handy format of a small dog, made for safe laying on a soft home bed. Feniks is walking gentleness, defenseless tenderness and an ocean of modesty! Despite his huge paralysis and distance from humans, there is not a shred of aggression in his behavior; it is a completely defenseless, silent, soft in handling, submissive and safe being that in moments of uncertainty simply looks for a safe corner to not get in the way. Due to his past, he most dreams of a quiet home with a safely and securely fenced garden. Such a green, quiet enclave away from the city's hustle and bustle and foreign stimuli will allow him to put his paws on the grass at his own pace, regenerate his frazzled psyche and slowly learn that human presence can mean peace and kindness. The shelter box, noise and concrete are extremely overwhelming for such a sensitive, frightened puppy - Feniks is urgently looking for a safe haven! Why does the fate-afflicted Feniks need you? Genius relationship with other dogs (Key asset!): Feniks accepts other dogs wonderfully - the presence of a stable, open and balanced resident dog will be the best support for him, give him courage and show him how to function in the house. Dream home with a garden: Quiet, safely fenced area is for him the chance for stress-free acclimatization and a sense of freedom without unnecessary pressure. Pure dove's gentleness: Completely devoid of anger or nervousness; it is a submissive, delicate dog with a quiet nature, who wants only peace, patience and tolerance. Compact format (only 13 kg): Slim, light figure - an unobtrusive household, which will not take up much space, but will bring a huge need for care into the house. Young age and the chance for a new life (about 3 years): He is young and plastic - in the hands of a patient guide he has a chance to be reborn anew, in accordance with his name. Highest dimension of rescue: Giving a safe haven to a dog pulled out of a nightmare intervention is the purest gesture of selfless love, bringing invaluable satisfaction from every, even the smallest step towards trust. We are looking for a very calm, understanding and full of deep empathy home for Feniks - patient, experienced and aware people who will respect his boundaries, will not speed up or force anything and give him a safe haven for the rest of his life. Give him a home, and this special boy will finally shed his fear armor and gain the most wonderful asylum forever!

Waży zaledwie 13 kg – to zgrabny, kompaktowy i niezwykle poręczny format niewielkiego pieska, wprost stworzonego do bezpiecznego ułożenia na miękkim domowym posłaniu. Feniks to chodząca łagodność, bezbronna czułość i ocean skromności! Czysta, gołębia łagodność: Całkowicie pozbawiony złości czy nerwowości; to uległy, delikatny piesek o cichej naturze, pragnący wyłącznie spokoju, cierpliwości i tolerancji. Najwyższy wymiar ratunku: Podarowanie bezpiecznego azylu psu wyciągniętemu z koszmaru interwencji to najczystszy gest bezinteresownej miłości, przynoszący bezcenną satysfakcję z każdego, nawet najmniejszego kroku ku zaufaniu. Szukamy dla Feniksa domu bardzo spokojnego, wyrozumiałego i pełnego głębokiej empatii – ludzi cierpliwych, doświadczonych i świadomych, którzy uszanują jego granice, nie będą niczego przyspieszać ani wymuszać i podarują mu bezpieczną przystań na resztę życia. Podaruj mu dom, a ten wyjątkowy chłopak wreszcie zrzuci pancerz strachu i zyska najcudowniejszy azyl na zawsze!

About FENIX

What life with FENIX looks like

FENIX is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting FENIX, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FENIX?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FENIX on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FENIX if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is FENIX already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FENIX isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know FENIX and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
