Fenne

Unknown

Fenne was found together with Fiets at the edge of the woods. Lucky people found them and brought them to us. Now the two are looking for their "Forever Home". Of course, they would love to move in together to their new home, but they could also live separately with already existing rabbits. Fenne still shows a great deal of shyness with us and avoids contact with people. However, she is very open and friendly with other rabbits. She gets along super well with her friend Fiets and loves to snuggle and eat together. For Fenne, we wish for people who have patience with her and give her time. Fenne is looking for a minimum living space of 6 square meters where she can frolic with her friends. She wishes for a group with other rabbits, either with one or more suitable partners. If interested, we look forward to a substantive email with pictures of the husbandry setup. General inquiry for potential adopters:

About Fenne

What life with Fenne looks like

Fenne is a small adult rabbit waiting at Tierschutzverein Ettlingen in Ettlingen.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fenne, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fenne?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Ettlingen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fenne on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fenne if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a rabbit can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierschutzverein Ettlingen what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Fenne already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a rabbit comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierschutzverein Ettlingen directly what is included and what Fenne still needs.
What happens if Fenne isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Ettlingen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fenne and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
