Ferdin je nádherný obrovitánsky biely kocúrik, ktorého sme našli v čase najväčších letných horúčav ležať pod stromom. Bol na pokraji síl a nevládal ďalej bojovať a akoby už len potichu čakal na to najhoršie. Nevieme, či mal vôbec niekedy svoju rodinu. Nevieme, či sa narodil na ulici alebo ho tam niekto vyhodil, keď prestal byť vítaný. Jeho minulosť sa už zrejme nikdy nedozvieme. Vieme však jedno ! Bez pomoci by jeho príbeh veľmi pravdepodobne skončil práve pod tým stromom. Ferdin nie je typ kocúrika, ktorý bude neustále vyhľadávať pozornosť alebo sa vám obtierať o nohy. Je pokojný, nenápadný a potrebuje svoj priestor. Napriek tomu je manipulácia s ním úplne bezproblémová. Pri veterinárnych vyšetreniach aj bežnej starostlivosti krásne spolupracuje, je rozumný a nekonfliktný. Je to obrovský kocúrik, ktorý si vzťah s človekom buduje postupne a vlastným tempom. A práve takéto priateľstvá bývajú často tie najpevnejšie. Pre biele mačky je život na ulici mimoriadne nebezpečný. Ich svetlá koža, najmä na uškách a nošteku, je veľmi citlivá na slnečné žiarenie. Dlhodobé vystavovanie sa slnku môže viesť k bolestivým popáleninám a neskôr dokonca k vzniku nádorových ochorení kože. V horúcich letných dňoch sú zároveň oveľa náchylnejšie na prehriatie organizmu, dehydratáciu a vyčerpanie. Ulica preto pre biele mačky nepredstavuje len boj o potravu, ale aj každodenné ohrozenie ich zdravia a života. Veríme, že Ferdin už svoje trápenie prežil. Teraz si zaslúži pokoj, bezpečný domov a rodinu, ktorá od neho nebude očakávať dokonalosť, ale prijme ho presne takého, aký je. Dôstojného kocúrika s tichou povahou, ktorý si po všetkom, čím si prešiel, zaslúži konečne pocítiť, že niekam patrí. Ferdina adoptujeme výlučne do interiéru ako člena domácnosti a rodinky.
