Fiena

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Fiena has found her home! Her story: Fiena – Shy Herdi girl puppy seeks sensitive family. The young Fiena is about 7 months old and was found alone on the street. Fortunately, our team member Dorel was able to secure her and bring her to the private shelter in Busag. She now waits there for people who will open their hearts to cautious, special dogs. Fiena is already about 60 cm tall – and a real looker! Her fluffy, white-brown fur with its unique pattern makes her a beautiful teddy bear. Based on her appearance and temperament, we suspect that Fiena carries Herdenschutzhund genes. Her future family should therefore either already be familiar with the characteristics of this breed or be eager to learn about them. Currently, Fiena is still very shy and reserved around people. She hasn’t been touched yet, but she shows a lot of curiosity and interest in her surroundings. She finds it especially exciting when other dogs in the run receive attention: then she comes closer and sits down, but quickly retreats when direct contact with people is sought. Fiena gets along well with other animals. A confident only dog in a new home would likely help her orient herself and gain confidence, as she learns a lot by observing and taking examples from them. We wish Fiena a quiet, patient home with experience in the care of Herdenschutzhunds. Her family should be happy to take a young, insecure dog with Fingerspitzengefühl, empathy, and time – and celebrate small and big development steps together with her. A securely fenced garden and dog company would be the best for her. Who gives Fiena the chance to carefully make her way through a new life full of security and dog happiness? Contact us if you want to give her a home or a reliable foster home! Fiena is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas, and she also has her EU pet passport. Many thanks to Natalie Z.! You gave Fiena a name and thus an identity. As of: 19.06.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Natalie Z.! About Fiena

What life with Fiena looks like

Fiena is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fiena, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fiena?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fiena on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fiena if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fiena already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fiena isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fiena and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
