adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Fiete has found a home! His story: Here comes Fiete – a little heartbreaker with short legs and warm, brown fur. He will stay small and brings the perfect size for snuggling on the sofa, adventure walks, and of course, a warm heart. Born in May, and although his start in life was anything but easy, he already carries so much joy in himself today. Fiete was found together with other puppies as part of our spay/neuter campaign in Targusor. There, the little ones would have had little chance of survival – too dangerous, too little protection, too little care. Luckily, they were saved. In his loving foster home, Fiete grew up protected, with closeness, warmth, and people who cared for him. This has shaped him: he knows people, trusts them, and shows friendliness, openness, and curiosity. Other dogs are no problem for him either – in fact, he currently lives with them and shows a very social nature. Fiete is typical for a puppy, playful, eager to learn, and ready to explore the world. Now, all he lacks is a family of his own to take him by the paw and teach him everything a little puppy needs to know. Of course, Fiete is still very much at the beginning of his puppy life. He wants to learn, understand, experiment, test boundaries, and then crawl back into your arms. Patience, love, and humor are the best companions here – so a little puppy grows into a confident dog who stands by your side. If you are ready to make Fiete's little world big, give him security, and explore each new day with him, then this brown treasure could soon be your family member. Fiete travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, with an EU pet passport to his new home. Ready to open your heart? Many thanks, Loredana! You have given Fiete his name!

Vielen Dank Loredana! Du hast Fiete seinen Namen geschenkt!

About Fiete

What life with Fiete looks like

Fiete is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fiete, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fiete?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fiete on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fiete if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fiete already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fiete isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fiete and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
