Adopt Figo

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Figo is an energetic, cheerful and people-oriented young dog. Tiny and adorable. Loves contact with humans, is gentle, cuddles, waits for pets, gives kisses and offers a paw. Yes! This lovely dog is waiting behind the bars of his kennel and is looking for his volunteers who can spend only one hour per week with him... It's a drama for such a little dog. Figo loves walks, and after leaving the animal shelter he quickly calms down and happily explores. When it comes to other dogs, he has his likes and dislikes (as probably everyone does), but conscious introductions and parallel walks will definitely help him get to know other canine friends. Figo copes very badly with shelter conditions. Noise and stress exhaust him, he doesn't feel good in his kennel, he is constantly on high alert, and stress and uncertainty never leave him for a second. What kind of home are we looking for? For Figo, we are looking for a home outside the city. Too many stimuli are too overwhelming for him and he simply gets tired among the city noise. However, a quiet environment will be his dream home forever! Figo to energiczny, wesoły i proludzki młody pies. Malutki i przeuroczy. Jakiego domu szukamy? About Figo

What life with Figo looks like

Figo is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Viva Korabiewice in Korabiewice.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Figo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Figo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Viva Korabiewice handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Figo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Figo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Viva Korabiewice will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Figo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Figo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Viva Korabiewice early rather than rehoming privately; they know Figo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
