Fiji is a gentle, sensitive girl who is looking for a patient and understanding family to help her build her confidence at her own pace. She can be easily worried by loud noises, sudden movements and unfamiliar situations, so she will need an adult-only home in a quiet location where she can feel safe and secure. Fiji finds the outside world overwhelming and will struggle with walks initially, so she'll need a private, secure garden where she can explore, sniff and gain confidence in her own time. Fiji also finds new people and other dogs daunting. She would benefit from calm, positive introductions and gentle socialisation with steady, respectful dogs who will give her space. With people, the way to Fiji's heart is definitely through tasty treats. She loves her food and this is a wonderful way to build a bond and gain her trust. When she's feeling relaxed, Fiji enjoys nothing more than curling up in a cosy bed for a snooze. Every small step forward will be a huge achievement, and watching Fiji blossom will be incredibly rewarding.
