Fiko is a young poodle who looks adorable, but behind that cute exterior is a dog with a lot of baggage who still needs a lot of guidance. He is very uncertain and needs the right direction. He can be very difficult to leave alone. When he has to sit alone for a while, he becomes frustrated: he barks, scratches the ground and sometimes to the point where his paws bleed. He finds it difficult to relax at home, so he gets annoying other animals or small children out of frustration. That's why he is not placed with them. Fiko also has trouble outside. When he sees another dog, he barks and loses his focus. Walking therefore requires the necessary training. We are looking for someone who can give Fiko clear direction, has time and experience to train with him, and is willing to tackle all his challenges step by step. He benefits from a quiet living environment; a busy city is too overwhelming for him.

Fiko ziet er schattig uit, maar achter dat lieve uiterlijk zit een hondje met een rugzak. Hij is erg onzeker en heeft nood aan een duidelijke, rustige sturing van iemand die begrijpt waar zijn gedrag vandaan komt. Alleen blijven is voor Fiko een grote uitdaging. Wanneer hij even alleen moet zitten, raakt hij gefrustreerd: hij blaft, krabt aan de grond en soms tot zijn pootjes bloeden. Ook binnenshuis vindt hij moeilijk rust. Uit frustratie kan hij andere dieren of kleine kinderen gaan lastigvallen, daarom wordt hij niet bij hen geplaatst. Buiten kan Fiko het eveneens lastig krijgen. Andere honden tegenkomen is voor hem een grote trigger: hij kan dan boos reageren en volledig opgaan in het moment. Wandelen vraagt daarom de nodige training, geduld en begeleiding. Als hij geen triggers tegenkomt, is hij wel heel flink. Ondanks al zijn uitdagingen is Fiko in de basis een echte knuffelhond. Hij geniet enorm van aandacht, laat zich graag aaien en laat eigenlijk alles met zich doen. Zijn lieve karakter komt duidelijk naar boven wanneer hij zich veilig voelt.
