adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Finah can stay forever in your foster home! Her story: 26810 Westoverledingen. Finah is waiting in Westoverledingen for a foster home to become her forever home! This poor soul was found in the mountains of Romania. She was nearly frozen but was fortunately rescued in time. Although she is now in safety, she desperately wants to arrive at your home. She longs for a loving and comfortable home to finally experience warmth and security. Finah is currently 1 year old and weighs 14 kilos, so she likely has reached her full size. She is super sweet, open, and people-oriented. The little one gets along excellently with other dogs and even cats. She finds both children and adults equally wonderful. She loves to receive lots of cuddles and is always up for playing. Due to her size and great character, Finah is the perfect new family member for almost any household. Whether on long walks, cozy evenings on the sofa, or fun sniffing games, with Finah you are sure to always have fun. However, your new family should be aware that Finah is still unfamiliar with life in a loving family. She still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is in full swing. Here, she needs people who can approach with lots of love and patience, and maybe even attend some positively working dog training classes with her and forgive her one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being alone are still foreign words to her. During puberty, she will surely test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Finah will definitely become a great lifelong partner. Who has a cozy dog bed free for Finah? Many thanks Manuela P.! You named Finah!. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vielen Dank Manuela P.! Du hast Finah ihren Namen geschenkt.

About Finah

What life with Finah looks like

Finah is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Finah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Finah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Finah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Finah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Finah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Finah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Finah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
