Adopt Finley-17463

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Senior · 10 years

The children no longer look at him as a reason for distance on his card…. we often hear that and that's why we always say never take animals just for your children. It's important, especially if the children are still young, that the parents also find rabbits enjoyable. Rabbits can sometimes live up to 10 years, so keep that in mind… Finley is really a little treasure but not a snuggly rabbit; he has been treated for respiratory issues and we always mention that it might come back in the future, so he might need medication again, it varies per rabbit how long it lasts, and we unfortunately can't make a statement on that. Our requirements: At minimum 4 square meters of run without counting the night house, measured on one floor. The run should be 120cm high or covered, read our terms and conditions on our website.

About Finley-17463

What life with Finley-17463 looks like

Finley-17463 is a small senior mixed breed rabbit waiting at Flappus in Netherlands.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Finley-17463, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Finley-17463?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Flappus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Finley-17463 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Finley-17463 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Flappus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Finley-17463 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Finley-17463 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Flappus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Finley-17463 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
