Description of Fin's story is one that deeply touches. Since his puppyhood, he lived in the Public Shelter of Vaslui – a place that for many dogs means the end. For Finn, it was a long struggle for survival. Additionally, he hobbled severely, as he could only bear the weight of three of his four legs. Thanks to loving sponsors, Finn was finally saved! But during his first vet visit, the bitter truth came to light: the old fracture in his leg was so severe that even a complex operation would have had little hope of success – the pain and suffering would have been too great. Three different veterinarians confirmed the same verdict. So, we made the hard but right decision: Finn got the chance at a pain-free life – through amputation. Today, after his recovery, he finally blossoms! He manages just fine with three legs – after all, he was used to moving that way, just now without pain. For the first time, he began to wag his tail – a moment that brought tears to our eyes. Finn shows every day that a loving, lively dog lies within him. He is compatible with other dogs and even cats, plays happily, and with a wink, keeps the shelter tidy ("Finn likes to clean up and sort the firewood anew!" 😉). With people, he is initially cautious – no wonder after everything he has experienced. But his trusted animal rescuer can now stroke and pet him, and his trust grows every day. Now, Finn seeks his forever home – a place where he is accepted, where he is met with patience, love, and heart. Who gives this brave fighter his second chance, which he so deserves? Beschreibung Finns Geschichte ist eine, die tief berührt. Seit seinem Welpenalter lebte er im Public Shelter von Vaslui – einem Ort, der für viele Hunde das Ende bedeutet. Für Finn war es ein langer Kampf ums Überleben. Noch dazu humpelte er stark, denn er konnte nur drei seiner vier Beine belasten. Dank lieber Paten durfte Finn endlich gerettet werden! Doch beim ersten Tierarztbesuch kam die bittere Wahrheit ans Licht: Der alte Bruch in seinem Bein war so schwer, dass selbst eine aufwändige Operation kaum Aussicht auf Erfolg gehabt hätte – zu groß wären Schmerz und Leid gewesen. Drei verschiedene Tierärzte bestätigten das gleiche Urteil. Also trafen wir die schwere, aber richtige Entscheidung: Finn bekam die Chance auf ein schmerzfreies Leben – durch eine Amputation. Heute, nach seiner Genesung, blüht er endlich auf! Er kommt wunderbar mit drei Beinen zurecht – schließlich war er es gewohnt, sich so fortzubewegen, nur diesmal ohne Schmerzen. Zum ersten Mal begann er, mit dem Schwanz zu wedeln – ein Moment, der uns Tränen in die Augen trieb. Finn zeigt jeden Tag mehr, dass in ihm ein liebevoller, lebensfroher Hund steckt. Er ist verträglich mit anderen Hunden und auch mit Katzen, spielt gern und sorgt mit einem Augenzwinkern für Ordnung im Shelter („Finn räumt gern auf und sortiert das Brennholz neu!“ 😉). Menschen gegenüber ist er zunächst vorsichtig – kein Wunder nach all dem, was er erlebt hat. Doch seine vertraute Tierschützerin darf ihn inzwischen streicheln und kraulen, und sein Vertrauen wächst mit jedem Tag. Nun sucht Finn sein Für-immer-Zuhause – einen Platz, an dem er ankommen darf, wo man ihm mit Geduld, Liebe und Herz begegnet.
