adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Finnie can stay forever! Her story: Finnie enchants us with a direct smile, radiating positive energy and joy for life. Visually, she is something special, distinguished by her short, predominantly white fur and a magical white-brown facial marking, which gives her a unique expression. Her brown eyes look attentively and kindly into the world. Since her arrival in March, the golden Finnie has shown a lot of energy and openness to new things in her foster family. She is already house-trained and learns a little more every day, making it incredibly fun to accompany her. In this short time, she has built a good bond with her foster family and is also open to the children in the household. Finnie shows a very cuddly and clingy side, enjoying all kinds of cuddles. Initially, she reacts more reservedly to strangers but then shows interest in getting to know them. Men have to put in a bit more effort to earn her trust. Finnie now masters car rides without problems, and leash training is also going well. A prey drive cannot be ruled out. All of this will be shown in the course of the adaptation period, which she still needs. Currently, she chases the existing cat in the foster home, so we are looking for a home without small pets. Finnie is open to new experiences and looks forward to loving, dog-experienced people who are ready to not only welcome her into their lives but also into their hearts, to share many beautiful moments and memories with her. She is ready for shared adventures. Originally, Finnie came from Baia Mare, Romania, where she was found on the street and brought to safety. Finnie can be adopted at any time; she is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and has an EU pet passport. Have you already fallen in love with the golden puppy? She looks forward to meeting you. We thank Jenny I. You gave Finnie her beautiful name and thus a personal identity. Status: 07.04.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 07.04.2026

About Finnie

What life with Finnie looks like

Finnie is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Finnie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Finnie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Finnie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Finnie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Finnie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Finnie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Finnie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
