Unser Team bekam im Dezember 2023 einen Anruf von einem Anwohner, dass sich in seiner Gegend ein völlig abgemagerter Hund aufhält. Sie machten sich gleich auf den Weg und fanden Fiona – sehr dünn und sehr hungrig. Sie nahmen sie direkt mit in unser Shelter, damit sie in Sicherheit ist und aufgepäppelt werden kann. Fiona ist eine freundliche Hündin, die nun nach ihrem Zuhause sucht. Unser Besuch im Februar 2024: Fiona hat sich bei unserem Besuch am Geruch der Leckerlis orientiert. Sie ist immer noch sehr dünn, auch wenn sie schon minimal an Gewicht zugenommen hat. Wir erlebten sie als sehr liebe Hündin, die gern mit uns gekuschelt hat und die Streicheleinheiten sehr genossen hat. Fiona ist futterneidisch. Als unser Team Fiona fand, war schnell klar, dass sie blind ist. Weshalb sie erblindet ist und ob das schon immer so war, wissen wir leider nicht. Wichtige Information: Da Fiona beeinträchtigt ist, braucht sie besondere Fürsorge. Sie muss ihr Zuhause auf andere Art kennenlernen und muss dafür an die Pfote genommen werden. Viel Geduld, Zeit und Verständnis wird benötigt, damit sich Fiona gut einleben kann. Hat sich Fiona erstmal eingelebt und Vertrauen gefasst, wird sie sich aber sicher freuen, wenn sie gemeinsam mit ihren Menschen die neue Umgebung entdecken kann. Sie wird sich freuen, dass sie sich keine Sorgen mehr machen muss und darf sich wohl das erste Mal in ihrem Leben auf ihre Familie verlassen und wird die Geborgenheit sicher sehr genießen. Hinweis: augenscheinlich könnte in Fiona anteilig eine gelistete Rasse stecken! Deshalb sind die Möglichkeiten zur Einreise beschränkt und müssen vorab von dem vermittelnden / übernehmenden Verein mit dem zuständigen Veterinäramt abgeklärt werden. Zusätzlich wird ein Schnelltest auf Mittelmeerkrankheiten vor der Ausreise durchgeführt: Borreliose, Anaplasmose, Ehrlichiose, Dirofilariose und Leishmaniose!
