adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Fipili has found a home! His story: Fipili came into the world with his seven siblings Janosch, Kasper, Matti, Peter, Milky, Piet, and Annie in a private home in Romania. The owner had his female dog spayed as part of one of our spay campaigns and now gives us the opportunity to place the eight adorable little puppies in their dream homes. At the moment, the little fellow still looks a bit unsure and shy with his round button eyes into the camera. He doesn’t yet realize how much fun and cuddles his future forever home holds in store for him. His white paws and white beard stand out, though he can’t fool anyone about his age of just four months. Currently, Fipili and his siblings are still very thin and delicate. It is expected, however, that they will grow to a medium size. The mother of the little puppies has a height of 45 cm. Fipili is puppy-like playful and greets everyone with a very loving and open demeanor. He is thus a real dream dog with his whole life ahead of him. We hope for many inquiries for the sweet male dog. His new family should be aware that Fipili has not yet experienced life in a loving family. He still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is still ahead of him. Here, he needs people who can approach him with love and patience, and may even need to attend some positively working dog training classes and forgive him one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being left alone are still foreign words to him. During puberty, he will certainly test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things he has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Fipili will definitely be a great lifelong partner. We hope so much that he can now experience the beautiful sides of life and learn that there are people who only want the best for him. Fipili is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He brings an EU pet passport with him and can be placed after a positive foster home. We would be very happy to have a foster home for the sweet fellow! Who will give him a loving forever home that he so deserves? Many thanks to Annika! You gave Fipili his name. Status: 31.08.

Vielen Dank an Annika! Du hast Fipili seinen Namen geschenkt. Stand: 31.08.2024

About Fipili

What life with Fipili looks like

Fipili is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fipili, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fipili?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fipili on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fipili if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fipili already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fipili isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fipili and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
