adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Floppy has found her home! Her story: Floppy is an approximately two and a half year old female dog currently living at a foster home in Zalau. She was found in the middle of the street. Our animal rescuer discovered her when she was just about to drive back into the city. As soon as she stopped, Floppy jumped into the car without hesitation – as if she knew exactly that her life would now change. Floppy is a friendly and people-oriented female dog who curiously explores the world. She loves being stroked and enjoys every affection. She also gets along well with children. In general, she is active and playful, but also knows how to appreciate the quiet moments when she lies in the sun and just relaxes. Overall, she shows herself to be a balanced, lively, and loving companion. Floppy gets along well with other dogs. Her distinctive head and the large, attentive ears make her a real looker. Floppy is a medium-sized female dog with a shoulder height of about 55 centimeters and an athletic, harmonious build. Her coat is short, smooth, and easy to maintain. It shows a beautiful mix of white and various shades of gray. Floppy is now searching for a home where she can arrive and enjoy the closeness to her people. She wants to be part of a family that loves her, plays with her, and shows her that life still has many beautiful sides. Floppy travels vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas, and neutered. She possesses an EU pet passport and may travel after a positive health check. Even a foster home would be a great gain for her. Who will give this loving female dog a warm spot and a heart full of security? Many thanks to Natascha G.! You gave Floppy her name and thus the chance at a new beginning. As of: 04.11.

About Floppy

What life with Floppy looks like

Floppy is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Floppy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Floppy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Floppy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Floppy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Floppy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Floppy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Floppy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
