adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! Flori is not alone in the world. Currently living with his sister Fenchel at our shelter, it is loud there and rarely does one find peace. Not a place for little puppy children like Flori and Fenchel. Therefore, Flori has a big dream. The dream of his own family. And we promise you, Flori, that we will do our best to make your big dream come true. Currently, Flori weighs just under 8 kg. It is expected that he will reach a medium size. Our Flori is a true unique. With his fluffy fur and large bat-like ears, he stays in your memory. Due to his appearance, herding dog genes cannot be ruled out. Flori does not understand the world anymore and seems to be asking himself how he ended up here. The little mouse is unsettled by the shelter situation and is shy, wanting to be invisible. And yet, there are the small moments where one can see that he has not given up hope. Soft touches are allowed by Flori, and he is gentle and quiet. For Flori, it would be incredibly important to be able to escape the shelter routine so that peace and stability can settle in. Therefore, a loving foster family would be a precious first step for Flori. Like every puppy, Flori still has a lot to learn, and anyone who wants to adopt a little puppy soul like Flori, should be clear about the responsibility beforehand. We wish Flori a loving home where he can grow up with much care, patience, and also consistency. Also, a visit to a positively working dog training class is a benefit for growing puppy children. And we are sure that Flori will grow up to be a great companion with the necessary support and training. Flori travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, together with his EU pet passport. After a positive match, would you like to be Flori's safe haven? Then contact us! Thank you, dear Henric! Thanks to you, Flori now has an identity and the chance for a happy dog life. Date: 05.06.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Flori

What life with Flori looks like

Flori is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Flori, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Flori?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Flori on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Flori if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Flori already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Flori isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Flori and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
