FOOTLOOSE

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

FOOTLOOSE Fantastiske FOOTLOOSE is looking for a forever home. 💗 Footloose🤍 is a lovely cat with a good dose of energy from time to time, but also loves to lie and sleep on the couch. She loves cosying up and finds fun things to play with when the occasion arises. She likes to hunt and should be given the opportunity to go outside even though she only has three legs. Footloose was caught in Varhaug this winter and it turned out that she had lost the lower part of one hind foot. We don't exactly know what happened 💔 but according to the vet's recommendation, the whole foot was amputated so she wouldn't put the wrong pressure on her body 🤍 She now has no problems walking, running or jumping onto the couch so this has gone really well 😁 This lady does not like other cats or dogs. She can go with children but if they are too intrusive she will speak up - so we think older children are best. Footloose is about 4 years old and is a real charming and beautiful lady who we hope to find a good and loving home for among people who will be kind to her.

About FOOTLOOSE

What life with FOOTLOOSE looks like

FOOTLOOSE is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Lucas Dyrevern in Stavanger.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇳🇴Adopting from Norway

Norwegian rescues require thorough background checks. Animals leave with a Nordic pet passport and full vetting. Norway is outside the EU so import rules differ slightly — TRACES applies.

Frequently asked

Adopting FOOTLOOSE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FOOTLOOSE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Lucas Dyrevern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FOOTLOOSE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FOOTLOOSE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Lucas Dyrevern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is FOOTLOOSE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FOOTLOOSE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Lucas Dyrevern early rather than rehoming privately; they know FOOTLOOSE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
