Foxxi

European Shorthair · Female · Senior · 15 years

I don't really understand what's happening to me or why I'm here, after all these years of happiness. Everything has changed, my landmarks have disappeared... At my age, I know that my chances of finding a family are unfortunately much slimmer. But deep down, I still want to believe. ❤️ I would love to be able to find the warmth of a home, a little corner that's all mine and a person who will love me until the end of my journey. On the character side, I'm super cuddly, I love human presence and I eagerly ask for attention. 🥰 But beware, I also know how to make my displeasure known, and I can happen to bite if my limits are not respected. For this reason, a home without young children will be preferable, so that everyone can live peacefully. Despite my 15 years, I'm still in good shape! 😺 I love to settle near a window to observe everything that happens outside and play the little gossip. Nothing escapes me! For four-legged friends, my compatibility with dogs is still unknown. With other cats, I can coexist as long as they leave me alone and respect my space. 🐾 Today, I don't ask for much... just a family that will look beyond my age, understand my needs and offer me the chance to know the security and love of a home again. I've already spent 13 beautiful years with my family. Help me not to end my story behind the bars of a shelter. FOXXI 🐾

FOXXI 🐾 »

About Foxxi

What life with Foxxi looks like

Foxxi is a senior european shorthair cat waiting at S.P.A Vauclusienne in Piégon.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Foxxi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Foxxi?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. S.P.A Vauclusienne handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Foxxi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Foxxi if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — S.P.A Vauclusienne will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Foxxi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Foxxi isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with S.P.A Vauclusienne early rather than rehoming privately; they know Foxxi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
