Franek

Mixed Breed · Male

Franek arrived at our shelter with a huge number of lice and was quite withdrawn for some time. For several days, he lay in the kennel, though blood test results showed nothing alarming. This is a dog that opens up to humans very gradually, and unfortunately, the scale of stimuli with such a number of dogs doesn't help. Franek has learned to walk on a leash, and during walks, he behaves admirably, constantly glancing at the handler. Delicate, well-groomed, conflict-free in relations with other dogs. He's looking for a home in blocks – unfortunately, we saw his climbing attempt from the enclosure fence, which he had to be moved from because he easily overcame it in a few seconds. 🙂 Franek was born around 2019. He is vaccinated and will be neutered. He loves quietness and peace. He's looking for a home without children or older children, as the noise would definitely not be beneficial for him. Help find his dream Family so he can leave the animal shelter as quickly as possible. This animal is not suitable for homes with children.

Franek trafił do schroniska z ogromną ilością kleszczy i dość mocno wycofany. Pomóżcie znaleźć wymarzoną Rodzinę, by jak najszybciej mógł opuścić schronisko.. Klaudia 609 530 953Ola 533 564 074

About Franek

What life with Franek looks like

Franek is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Franek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Franek?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Franek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Franek if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Franek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Franek isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Franek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
