Frankie

English Bulldog · Male · Young · 2 years

Frankie is a 2 year old, male French Bulldog. A burly little boy, Frankie is very friendly and just adores being in human company. He loves his cuddles and the more of them the better! He loves his walks and generally keeps an easy pace but can pull a bit if he’s in a hurry to reach something. He is okay with some cats but not all. French Bulldogs are always popular and Frankie is no exception. Currently enjoying some time in a foster home, we believe Frankie wants to be the only dog in a home as he seems happier to be somebody’s one and only (We have had some unsuccessful meet & greets with other dogs) Frankie has been neutered, is microchipped 972274200484234 has been vaccinated and has received the usual preventative flea/worm treatments. Frankie is currently in the care of Kildare and West Wicklow SPCA The member society or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.

About Frankie

What life with Frankie looks like

Frankie is a young adult english bulldog dog waiting at ISPCA in Dublin.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Frankie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Frankie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ISPCA handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Frankie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Frankie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ISPCA will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Frankie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Frankie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ISPCA early rather than rehoming privately; they know Frankie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
