I am already almost placed. Please do not apply anymore! (01.07.2026) We are looking for a forever home for the initially somewhat reserved Franzi. Once Franzi warms up, she would not want to leave her human's side. Franzi runs with us during the day in a mixed dog group and gets along well there. We see her as a second dog with a confident companion. However, Franzi would also feel very comfortable as a single princess. During walks with our volunteer dog walkers, she only receives praise because she shows her best side. We do not see Franzi with small children who bring a lot of commotion into life, as she prefers to enjoy peace. Franzi is a relaxed companion in our shelter's daily routine - and since she has not been in our care for too long, we cannot yet say how pronounced the breed-typical character traits of a Fox Terrier are in her.

Ist die freundliche Hundedame erst einmal aufgetaut, würde sie ihrem Menschen am liebsten nicht mehr von der Seite weichen. Franzi läuft bei uns tagsüber in einer gemischten Hundegruppe und findet sich dort gut zurecht. Als Zweithündin sehen wir sie bei einem souveränen Partnertier. Als Einzelprinzessin würde sich Franzi allerdings auch sehr wohl fühlen. Bei Spaziergängen mit unseren ehrenamtlichen Gassigeher*innen bekommt sie nur Lob, denn sie zeigt sich von ihrer besten Seite. Bei kleinen Kindern, die noch viel Wirbel ins Leben bringen, sehen wir Franzi nicht, da sie lieber Ruhe genießt. Bei uns im Tierheim ist Franzi eine entspannte Begleiterin in unserem Stationsalltag – auch wenn sie manchmal einige rassetypische Merkmale aufweist. In der Vergangenheit wurden bei Franzi ein Leber- und ein Mammatumor entfernt, weshalb sie auch in Zukunft regelmäßig darauf untersucht werden sollte. Außerdem steht Anfang Oktober noch eine Zahnsanierung bei ihr an, die kleine Maus kann aber vorher bereits kennengelernt werden.
