He could potentially be left for short periods in his new home, but any time alone should be introduced gradually from the beginning. Fred may be able to live with an independent, well-mannered dog following a successful dog mix at the centre, and he could also live with sensible secondary school-aged children who understand that he needs space and time to settle. As Fred builds relationships slowly, his new family will need to visit him at the centre several times before he is ready to go home. He is a truly lovely little boy who has already come such a long way, and with kind, patient owners willing to let him progress at his own pace, Fred has all the potential to become a wonderfully loyal and affectionate companion. Fred is a handsome 4-6 year old Border Terrier cross who is looking for a patient and understanding family to help him continue to blossom.
