Freda’s kittens

Mixed Breed Cat · Unknown · Kitten · 2 months

About me: These confident, playful kittens have been lovingly cared for by their mum, Freda. Sadly – as Freda was a stray while pregnant – she has started showing symptoms of cat flu. Thankfully, the kittens are currently happy, healthy and full of life with no symptoms. However, they may still be carriers of the virus. Cats: They can be adopted individually to join a resident cat, provided the cat is young and has no underlying health conditions, as we wouldn’t want to put a vulnerable cat at risk. Dogs: No. Children: 6 years and over. Ideal home: To be adopted in pairs or individually into a home with a resident cat. Once old enough, they will need access to the outdoors. However, if they experience any flare-ups of cat flu symptoms, they will need to remain indoors temporarily until they recover.

About Freda’s kittens

What life with Freda’s kittens looks like

Freda’s kittens is a kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at St Francis Animal Welfare in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Freda’s kittens, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Freda’s kittens?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. St Francis Animal Welfare handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Freda’s kittens on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Freda’s kittens if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — St Francis Animal Welfare will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Freda’s kittens already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Freda’s kittens isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with St Francis Animal Welfare early rather than rehoming privately; they know Freda’s kittens and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
