Ay-oh! Don’t stop me now — I’m Freddie Purrcury, part of the famous Singer Cats! Unlike my legendary namesake, I’m actually quite a shy boy. I prefer to sit back and watch the world go by, and it takes me a little time to feel safe and confident in new surroundings. I love toys and tasty food, but I’m not too keen on being handled, so I’d be happiest in a home that understands and respects my space. I’m an inquisitive chap who would suit a quiet, patient home with no young children who might accidentally spook me. With time, understanding, and a little patience, I may learn to “break free” and become more affectionate — but my new paw-rents should be happy to let me settle at my own pace. Some of my family members have been carriers of mycoplasma, so I may also be a carrier. Because of this, I’ll need to be rehomed either as a solo cat or alongside another cat from my family. I also have some gum inflammation and am currently on steroids to help manage this. This may be a lifelong condition, so my future family will need to be aware that ongoing treatment or monitoring could be needed.
