Freestyle was seized by authorities in Mouscron, by a young trafficker who thought he was a breeder-seller, while not respecting any health laws and leaving his pregnant mares without any care, shelter, water, or food, in the middle of debris and at heatwave temperatures. Bad experiences have made Freestyle prefer to stay away from people when she has the opportunity. This does not prevent her from being completely friendly and docile once handled. With other horses, she has a less fleeing behavior but equally peaceful.

Freestyle a été saisie à Mouscron, chez un jeune traficoteur qui s'est cru éleveur-marchand, tout en ne respectant aucune loi sanitaire et en laissant ses juments, pleines, sans aucun soins, ni abri, ni eau, ni nourriture, au milieu de décombres et par températures caniculaires. Les mauvaises expériences ont fait que Freestyle préfère se tenir à l'écart des gens quand elle en a l'occasion. Ce qui ne l'empêche pas d'être tout à fait affable et docile une fois en main.
