Freja

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

Frejka is a dog that is impossible to ignore. She has a lot of energy, curiosity about the world, and a joy of life that spills out of every movement. She is very active and easily distracted, because everything around her seems worth checking out, smells, sounds, people. And she especially loves people and is eager to seek their company. She loves exercise and play, running after a ball is a huge fun for her, and even more so spending time with a person. This is a dog that really wants to cooperate, she learned the "sit" command in an instant, and treats work like the best engine for learning. With proper guidance and regular training, Frejka has huge potential to develop her skills and become a wonderful, well-behaved companion. On a leash, she handles well. At first, she sometimes pulls, but this is more a result of excess emotions than a lack of willingness to cooperate, with training and consistency, this issue is more than manageable. At the moment, Frejka will find her best fit as the only animal in the house. She can be reactive towards other dogs and cats, from a distance, she sometimes growls or barks, so we are looking for caregivers who will focus on working with her and give her a calm, predictable environment. This is a dog for active people who are not afraid of exercise, challenges, and exploring the world together. Frejka really needs activity, stimuli, and a person who will show her the direction. In the right home, she has everything to become a fantastic dog for adventures together. If you are looking for an energetic partner for action, Frejka is waiting for you. Frejka to sunia, obok której trudno przejść obojętnie. About Freja

What life with Freja looks like

Freja is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Freja, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Freja?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Freja on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Freja if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Freja already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Freja isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Freja and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
