Frieda, Kelpie mix, female, born 01/2025, approximately 13 kg Frieda is generally very friendly to everyone, but rather cautious. She is not a daredevil. Living in an apartment, riding in the car, going for walks and house training are all new things for her. Kelpies are more independent and often stubborn than, for example, Border Collies. They are not just obedient, but think and like to make their own decisions. They are capable of achieving great physical and mental feats. However, if they are not sufficiently occupied and understood, they can come up with very creative ideas as house dogs - much to the chagrin of their humans. Frieda's Kelpie share is particularly pronounced. This means above all: She wants to work and solve tasks. Once a week dog training is far from enough for this. Even long walks alone do not meet her needs. Frieda needs regular, challenging activities that physically and especially mentally challenge her. Frieda lives in a foster home. Frieda, Kelpie-Mix, Hündin, geb. 01/2025, ca. 13 kg Frieda ist grundsätzlich sehr freundlich zu Allen, aber eher vorsichtig. Keine Draufgängerin. Das Leben in der Wohnung, im Auto mitfahren, Gassigehen und Stubenreinheit sind alles neue Dinge für sie. Kelpies sind deutlich eigenständiger und oft auch sturer als z.B. Border Collies. Sie sind keine reinen Befehlsempfänger, sondern denken mit und treffen gerne eigene Entscheidungen. Körperlich und geistig sind sie zu Höchstleistungen fähig. Werden sie allerdings nicht ausreichend beschäftigt und verstanden, können sie als Haushunde durchaus auf sehr kreative Ideen kommen – sehr zum Leidwesen ihrer Menschen. Bei Frieda ist der Kelpie-Anteil besonders ausgeprägt. Das bedeutet vor allem: Sie möchte arbeiten und Aufgaben lösen. Einmal pro Woche Hundeplatz reicht dafür bei Weitem nicht aus. Auch lange Spaziergänge allein werden ihren Bedürfnissen nicht gerecht. Frieda braucht regelmäßige, anspruchsvolle Beschäftigung, bei der sie körperlich und vor allem auch geistig gefordert wird. Frieda lebt auf einer Pflegestelle. Bei Interesse an einem Kennenlernen stellen wir gerne den Kontakt für eine Terminvereinbarung her.
