Fruzja

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

Fruzja, a 8-year-old female dog, was caught on April 21, 2026, in Rokietnica. She has lived in the wild for many years and has had little contact with humans. Currently, Fruzja is learning to live with humans. She is becoming more open to contact, allowing herself to be petted and making small but important progress. She does not yet know how to walk on a leash and will need patience and time to learn new things at her own pace. Fruzja gets along well with other dogs. She has already had a sterilization surgery. We are looking for a calm, responsible, and aware home for her, which will understand her past and be willing to work with her without pressure, giving her a sense of security. She will do best with patient people who know that building a dog's trust after such experiences takes time. If you want to give Fruzja a chance at a new life or get to know her better, please contact us. Fruzja is waiting for her first real home. ❤️

PL·Show original

About Fruzja

What life with Fruzja looks like

Fruzja is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fruzja, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fruzja?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fruzja on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fruzja if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fruzja already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fruzja isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fruzja and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
