Adopt Gabriella

English Bulldog · Female · Young · 3 years

by Cattery | May 7, 2026 | Cats, Female, Liverpool, Cats, Female, Liverpool Stunning Gabriella was returned to us after almost a year in her home. Her adopter felt that she needed someone who was around more and didn’t feel like they were giving her what she needed. So due to that, we are looking for a home with someone who is around a lot of the time or a household with multiple people so that someone is usually in. She wants lots of playtime, cuddles and just general interaction! Gabriella does not like other cats! So she will need to be the only one in the home. We also think she would not like to live with a dog. She is an incredibly friendly and sweet girl so we believe she would be happy to live with children, we just require them to come meet her! She is a very inquisitive (nosy) lady who wants to know what you are up to and be a part of it. Her big green eyes always watching! She will be a source of lots of laughter as well as love. About Gabriella

What life with Gabriella looks like

Gabriella is a large young adult english bulldog cat waiting at Freshfields Animal Rescue in Liverpool.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gabriella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gabriella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Freshfields Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gabriella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gabriella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Freshfields Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gabriella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gabriella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Freshfields Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gabriella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
