GARM *Pflegestelle*

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Dog Extern GARM *Foster Care* Born 01.04.2023. Gender male. Breed Corgi-Staffordshire Bullterrier-Mix. Coat color brown-white. Shoulder height 35 cm. Weight 14 kg. Dog compatible limited. Cat compatible no. Child compatible limited. First dog yes. Second dog limited. Alone yes. Garm is a about 3-year-old, intact male with a very special character. He combines the best qualities of his breeds: the self-confident and protective Staffordshire Bullterrier as well as the lively and charming Corgi. Garm loves to be active with his human, but also enjoys his relaxed hours on the couch. Garm has a pronounced hunting and pulling drive, which requires a lot of occupation and clear leadership. In addition, he is a self-confident dog who tends to want to take the leader position if no clear rules are established and consistently followed. When dealing with other dogs, one should keep his terrier traits in mind and be able to intervene if there is too much playing around, because he also tries to mark himself as the leader there. Otherwise, Garm is very cuddly, loves coat care and shows himself always patient and relaxed. Whoever meets Garm with clear structures wins a reliable, obedient and always ready for any fun companion. Visits can be arranged with the foster carer Kindel. back 28. About GARM *Pflegestelle*

What life with GARM *Pflegestelle* looks like

GARM *Pflegestelle* is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Peine in Peine.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting GARM *Pflegestelle*, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about GARM *Pflegestelle*?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Peine handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw GARM *Pflegestelle* on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt GARM *Pflegestelle* if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Peine will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is GARM *Pflegestelle* already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if GARM *Pflegestelle* isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Peine early rather than rehoming privately; they know GARM *Pflegestelle* and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
