Gea

European Shorthair ยท Female ยท Kitten ยท 5 months

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿพ Let me introduce myself: my name is Gea, Iโ€™m a very sweet little cat born in May 2026, weighing around 4 kg. Unfortunately, my life did not start in the best way. I lived with my siblings in a dangerous area by the roadside. Some of us were hit by cars or poisoned, and today only seven of us are left. Sadly, the person who has been caring for us can no longer look after us due to health issues. I am a very well-behaved, lovable, and affectionate kitten, and like all my siblings, I need a family that can finally offer me a safe place to live, far away from the road and its dangers. I am looking for a loving family who will welcome me with patience and affection and finally give me the safety, comfort, and love that every kitten deserves. I am currently in Italy, but for the right adoption I can travel throughout Europe and the United Kingdom. If you would like to give me a chance, Iโ€™ll be waiting for you here. ๐Ÿ‘‰ I am dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Adoption subject to an adoption contract, adoption fee, and pre-adoption home check (including RBU). ๐Ÿ“ Foster/adoption form: ๐Ÿ“ž ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Chiara (WhatsApp) โ€“ ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Chiara (WhatsApp only) โ€“ ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Sabrina (WhatsApp)

About Gea

What life with Gea looks like

Gea is a small puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Furry Rescue Italy in Nazionale.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months โ€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡นAdopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Furry Rescue Italy handles screening and the adoption contract directly โ€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad โ€” Furry Rescue Italy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra โ‚ฌ100โ€“โ‚ฌ350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported โ€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work โ€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Furry Rescue Italy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect โ€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
