Gelato came to us from Zaventem. He had been wandering around for a while in the garden of one of our volunteers and had a large abscess on his jaw. He came towards us for treatment. That abscess is now completely healed and this cuddly fellow is now ready for adoption. Despite Gelato having a chip and we were able to contact his owners, the decision was made to give him up. This is because this handsome young cat tested Aids +. Fortunately, this big guy can live well with it but only as an indoor cat from now on. Gelato is a big cuddler even though he is sometimes a bit wary at first. Once he gets pets, he forgets all about it and gladly receives all the attention. He gets along okay with our other Aids + kittens but another cat in the house is not a must. Feline AIDS: Feline AIDS kittens can live a long time with the disease without experiencing serious problems. Unfortunately, there is no cure but that does not mean these lovely cats do not deserve a nice home. Note: an Aids + cat can bring additional costs as they get older. Gelato is bij ons binnengekomen vanuit Zaventem. Hij zwierf daar al een tijdje rond in de tuin van één van onze vrijwilligers en had een groot abces aan zijn kaak. Hij kwam dan richting ons voor verzorging. Dat abces is nu helemaal netjes genezen en nu is deze kanjer dus klaar voor adoptie. Ondanks dat Gelato een chip had en we zijn baasjes konden bereiken werd er de keuze gemaakt om hem af te staan. Dit komt doordat deze knappe jongen AIds + testte. Gelukkig kan deze grote jongen daar nog goed mee leven maar dan wel als binnenhuiskat vanaf nu. Gelato is een grote knuffelaar al is hij in het begin soms nog wat wantrouwig. Eens hij aaitjes krijgt vergeet hij dat helemaal en krijgt hij met plezier alle aandacht. Hij doet het oké met onze andere Aids + katjes maar een ander katje in huis is geen must. Kattenaids: Kattenaids katjes kunnen een lange tijd leven met de ziekte zonder er serieuze last van te ondervinden. Helaas is er geen genezing maar dat betekend niet dat deze lieverds geen mooie thuis verdienen. Let op: een Aids + katje kan dus extra kosten met zich meebrengen naarmate ze ouder worden.
