George (and Henry)

Male Β· Kitten Β· 4 months

Meet George and Henry! These handsome little brothers are looking to be placed as they adore one another's company and can be found snuggled up together after a good game of chase. They can be shy at first but warm up quickly with some toy play, which is their favourite activity. They are sweet purry chaps that come running to the door to greet us with their tails high and meowing away for some strokes. George likes to show his appreciation by rolling about and Henry will shimmy his tail with excitement. George and Henry will need a cat flap for access to a quiet green space, once they have settled into their new home. They could live with school age children that can give them a little time to find their paws. These boys have bundles of energy so would be purfect play mates to keep one another entertained. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more, you can e-mail our rehoming team on () to register your interest. the cat you have contacted us about.

About George (and Henry)

What life with George (and Henry) looks like

George (and Henry) is a small kitten cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting George (and Henry), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about George (and Henry)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw George (and Henry) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt George (and Henry) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is George (and Henry) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if George (and Henry) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know George (and Henry) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
