Gerome was found wandering in the neighborhood. We searched for his owner, but no one recognized him and unfortunately no one has claimed him. Now it's time to look ahead and find a home where he can finally be welcome forever. And he deserves that more than ever. Gerome is an incredibly sweet, calm and affectionate cat. He enjoys attention, cuddles and a quiet spot close to his people. He no longer needs wild adventures; a soft couch, warm sunshine and the occasional scratch make him completely happy. Medical examinations found that Gerome tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV). Fortunately, he is otherwise in good health and feels great. That's why we are looking for an indoor home for him, where he does not come into contact with negative tested cats. He can be placed alone or possibly together with another cat who has also tested positive for FeLV. A positive FeLV test does not mean a cat is sick. Many cats with leukemia can, with the right care, still live happy and quality lives for years. The most important thing is that their resistance is well supported and they can live in a quiet, loving environment. So don't let his diagnosis scare you off. Gerome is so much more than a test result. He is a sweet cuddler who wants nothing more than to finally come home somewhere. Can you give Gerome that chance? Gerome werd zwervend gevonden in de buurt. We gingen op zoek naar zijn eigenaar, maar niemand herkende hem en helaas heeft niemand zich voor hem gemeld. Nu is het tijd om vooruit te kijken en op zoek te gaan naar een thuis waar hij eindelijk voor altijd welkom is. En dat verdient hij meer dan ooit. Gerome is een ontzettend lieve, rustige en aanhankelijke kater. Hij geniet enorm van aandacht, knuffels en een rustig plekje dicht bij zijn mensen. Hij hoeft geen wilde avonturen meer te beleven; een zachte zetel, een warm zonnetje en af en toe een aaitje maken hem helemaal gelukkig. Bij zijn medische onderzoeken werd vastgesteld dat Gerome positief testte op kattenleukemie (FeLV). Verder is hij gelukkig in goede gezondheid en voelt hij zich prima. Daarom zoeken we voor hem een binnenhuisthuis, waar hij niet in contact komt met negatief geteste katten. Hij kan perfect alleen geplaatst worden, of eventueel samen met een andere kat die eveneens positief getest is op FeLV. Een positieve FeLV-test betekent namelijk niet dat een kat ziek is. Heel wat katten met leukemie kunnen, met de juiste zorgen, nog jarenlang een gelukkig en kwalitatief leven leiden. Het belangrijkste is dat hun weerstand goed ondersteund wordt en dat ze in een rustige, liefdevolle omgeving kunnen leven. Laat je dus zeker niet afschrikken door zijn diagnose.
