Gerrit is a tomcat who has learned to navigate life on the streets. Unfortunately, this has left its mark and he may not look like the most handsome cat in the neighborhood anymore. But appearances can be deceiving, as there is a very sweet cat behind his rough exterior! ❤️ We suspect that Gerrit may have had a home at some point in the past, as he no longer has any teeth. These were probably removed surgically in the past. When Gerrit came to us, he also had an abscess in his mouth. Fortunately, this has since been treated by our vet. Gerrit finds new situations quite exciting and will therefore really need time to adjust to his new home. He has probably experienced a lot and we want to give him the space to build trust at his own pace. Gerrit is een kater die het leven op straat goed heeft leren kennen. Dat heeft helaas wat sporen achtergelaten en hij ziet er misschien niet meer uit als de knapste kater van de buurt. Maar schijn bedriegt, want achter zijn ruwe uiterlijk schuilt een ontzettend lieve kater! ❤️ We vermoeden dat Gerrit vroeger ooit een huisje heeft gehad, want hij heeft geen tanden meer. Waarschijnlijk zijn deze in het verleden operatief verwijderd. Toen Gerrit bij ons binnenkwam, had hij ook een abces in zijn mond. Gelukkig is dit inmiddels behandeld door onze dierenarts. Gerrit vindt nieuwe situaties nog best spannend en zal daarom in zijn nieuwe thuis echt even de tijd nodig hebben om te wennen. Hij heeft waarschijnlijk al het nodige meegemaakt en we willen hem de rust geven om op zijn eigen tempo vertrouwen op te bouwen.
