VIDEO – Stray Getsbis is looking for a home. This is a very affectionate kitten, climbs onto laps and likes to be on arms. Wants to cuddle, follows everywhere and just wants to be together. Gets along well with female cats, but due to the FIV virus* it would be best if it lived with another cat that has this virus, or alone. Getsbis arrived at our shelter at the beginning of January, before the big cold. The kitten wandered into a human yard, and people noticed how friendly he was, but also tired, and quickly contacted us. Thus, the old cat ended up in our shelter. Soon we saw that life on the street did not spare the kitten - unneutered, unmarked, with anemia, FIV virus and a terrible condition of teeth. All four incisors were broken and with exposed nerves, all the baby teeth were gone - you can only imagine what pain he had to endure. Fortunately, this is behind him, most of the teeth have been removed, Getsbis has started enjoying life without pain. All that's left for complete happiness is a home - age ~10 years - vaccinated, microchipped * We want to remind you that we have a whole room of wonderful FIV+ kittens, and this virus is not dangerous to humans or other animals. It is transmitted between cats through deep bites, therefore it is safest not to keep healthy cats with those who have the virus. No special treatment is required, just cats that have the virus have a weaker immune system, therefore it is especially important to ensure calm, high-quality food and more attentive health prevention, i.e.

VIDEO – Pustažandis Getsbis ieško namų Tai labai meilus žmogui katinėlis, pats lipa ant kelių, noriai būna ant rankų. Nori prisiglausti, sekioja visur ir tiesiog nori būti kartu . Su katėmis patelėmis bendrauja gražiai, tačiau dėl FIV viruso* geriausia būtų, kad gyventų su kita šį virusą turinčia kate, arba vienas. Getsbis atvyko pas mus dar sausio pradžioj, prieš didžiuosius šalčius. Katinukas atklydo į žmonių kiemą, pastebėjus koks jis draugiškas, bet tuo pačiu pavargęs ir žmonės skubiai kreipėsi į mus. Taip senukas atsidūrė mūsų prieglaudoje Netrukus pamatėme, kad gyvenimas gatvėje katinėlio nelepino – nekastruotas, neženklintas, su anemija, FIV virusu ir baisia dantukų būkle Visos keturios iltys nulužusios ir su atvirais nervais, išgedę visi krūminiai dantys – galima tik įsivaizduoti kokius skausmus jam teko kęsti Laimei visa tai praeity, dauguma dantukų išrauti, Getsbis pradėjo mėgautis gyvenimu be skausmo Iki pilnos laimės tereikia namų – amžius ~10 metų – skiepytas, čipuotas * Norime priminti, kad prieglaudoje turime visą kambarėlį nuostabių FIV+ katinėlių, o šis virusas nėra grėsmingas nei žmonėms, nei kitiems gyvūnams. Tarp kačių persiduoda per gilų įkandimą, todėl saugiausia yra nelaikyti sveikų kačių su turinčiomis virusą. Specialaus gydymo nereikalauja, tiesiog virusą turinčių kačių imunitetas yra silpnesnis, todėl ypač svarbu užtikrinti ramybę, kokybišką maistą ir įdėmesnę sveikatos profilaktiką, t.y. beveik tą patį ką turėtų gauti kiekvienas gyvūnas
