Adopt GIN

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 6 months

Come, "ma maschi non ne avete?" 😂 E all then we want to see the line at the gate for GIN!!!! 🤩 Gin was born in June 2025 (9 months) and is a dog of the "all fur and softness" breed, with a thousand shades and reflections that change as he walks, wiggling his rump 😆 He is a medium-sized dog because, at the end of the day, he doesn't reach 24kg, even though he seems to weigh more, thanks to the type of fur. He arrived with his brother Tonic (another beauty, with different colors 🤩) after living in a dog shelter in Sicily and was then moved to a smaller animal shelter… in short, he is inexplicably still in a kennel!!! At the last animal shelter, he lived with several other dogs, and here with us, we've seen that he's afraid of cats 😉. With people, he's docile, and we've seen that after just a couple of days, he takes that confidence to "run with me, scratch my ears, jump with me"!!!! 🤣 Gin is learning what it means to run in a field these days and seems like a two-month-old puppy discovering the world, he's so adorable… 🥰 To learn more: ENPA Torino, via Germagnano 8, from Monday to Saturday 13-16, no appointment needed. Available for adoption only in Torino and province.

Adottabile solo a Torino e provincia.

About GIN

What life with GIN looks like

GIN is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at ENPA Sezione Torino in Torino.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting GIN, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about GIN?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ENPA Sezione Torino handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw GIN on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt GIN if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ENPA Sezione Torino will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is GIN already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if GIN isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ENPA Sezione Torino early rather than rehoming privately; they know GIN and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
