adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Gino has found a home! His story: Colorful Canine Gangs seeks their people! Dopey, Candy, Isipho, Schnuppi, Callida, Gino, and Pia are eagerly waiting for your inquiry! The siblings were found alone near a farm when they were just about 2-3 days old. Poor little ones must have been freshly abandoned. We took the rattle gang into our care and bottle-fed them. Now the little ones are around 3 months old and all are well. We are now searching for a home for each of these little rascals! Do you have the heart to take in a puppy? Handsome Gino only has one goal: to win your heart! The cute male pup shows himself to be playful, friendly, and curious at the site. He enjoys being petted and is not afraid of new things. Gino is currently around 3 months old and we assume he will grow to be medium to large. Gino is looking for people who won't have too many expectations of him and will show him how a normal dog life works. He is still a baby and has a lot to learn. Sometimes a mishap shouldn't be held against him and Gino should always be guided with a positive training style. He is looking forward to his new life with beautiful nature walks, lots of snuggling hours, and also a visit to puppy school. In the first year of life, puppies should be as little alone as possible. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the little rascals' lives upside down. They "forget" a lot of what they have learned and their ears are on full alert. Therefore, it is especially important to train consistently but lovingly during this phase. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Our Gino is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He brings his EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive foster home trial! A foster home would also help him! In love with Gino? Then contact us! Many thanks, Michaela M.! You gave Gino his beautiful name! Date: 27.05.

Verliebt in Gino? Dann meld dich bei uns! Vielen Dank Michaela M.! Du hast Gino seinen schönen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 27.05.2024

About Gino

What life with Gino looks like

Gino is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
