Adopt Gino ((réservé))

European Shorthair · Male · Adult · 6 years

Age: born on 07/10/2020 Identification: 250 269 611 453 999 Physical characteristics: A beautiful gray and white cat, neutered, identified by microchip, vaccinated and FIV positive, FeLV negative. Personality: With his gray and white coat and his marked gaze, Gino clearly has the look of a seasoned traveler that hints at his past. His street cat appearance contrasts with his extremely affectionate nature. He exudes something unique, a mix of experience and tenderness. Gino is a real clingy cat. A super clingy cat. He loves human presence and never misses an opportunity to press against you, follow you around, or actively participate in your daily life. He likes to be at the center of family life and willingly shares every moment. Former street cat, he has experienced hunger and had to fend for himself to eat. He therefore has a very serious relationship with food: he perfectly knows the schedule of his dry kibble dispenser, knows where treats are stored and can show great ingenuity if a trash can or plate is left unattended. You can't fool an experienced survivor. It will just be necessary to make sure nothing is left lying around. It is also recommended to give him his dry kibble in a specialized play mat, in order to slow down his eating pace and encourage a feeling of fullness. Gino is also a bit playful and can, without warning, launch into a frantic run through the house. He sometimes fixates intensely on an invisible point, performs a spectacular pirouette, then runs off as if chasing something only he can see. Message from elsewhere or overactive imagination... the mystery remains, but the show is guaranteed! Ideal placement: Gino is looking for a home ready to offer him love and stability, adopters who are present and patient, especially regarding food management. Being FIV positive, he can live in an apartment without problem and must be the only cat in the household or cohabit with another FIV+ compatible cat. Contact: cat available in foster care in Paris 2nd district. Contact Karine by (preferably via SMS, evening after 7 pm and weekends), email or web form.

About Gino ((réservé))

What life with Gino ((réservé)) looks like

Gino ((réservé)) is a small adult european shorthair cat waiting at Club de Défense des Animaux Paris 12 in Paris.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

Frequently asked

Adopting Gino ((réservé)), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gino ((réservé))?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Club de Défense des Animaux Paris 12 handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gino ((réservé)) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gino ((réservé)) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Club de Défense des Animaux Paris 12 will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gino ((réservé)) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gino ((réservé)) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Club de Défense des Animaux Paris 12 early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gino ((réservé)) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
