Giuseppe the Elf

Giuseppe the Elf2018 | Piebald | Gypsy Cob | Under 12.2hhGiuseppe will soon be started under saddle, preparing him to join our Loanie Pony scheme. We will then be finding him a little jockey to take him on adventures. The story so far...Giuseppe was found by a member of the public one wintry night, just before Christmas, in December of 2018 and reported to the RSPCA. He was less than 6 months old and had been left alone, tied to a lamp post in a South Cleveland town. It is almost certain that he was abandoned because he was male and surplus to requirements. We wanted a Christmas themed name and Giuseppe is Italian for Joseph – it suited him perfectly.Giuseppe was hypothermic, hungry and thirsty on arrival however, he was otherwise healthy and thankfully responded well to expert care and lots of TLC.A look back to a very happy, young ‘Giuseppe the Elf’ He is now very grown-up and settled in a herd of other ponies of similar age – he is in fact the boss of the group.Giuseppe has always loved attention; he is very bright and full of character – always one of the first to meet you at the gate!Likes: CarrotsDislikes: Sharing foodSponsor Giuseppe the Elf More Horses Sponsor me!PenelopeIt is

About Giuseppe the Elf

What life with Giuseppe the Elf looks like

Giuseppe the Elf is an adult horse waiting at Here4Horses in United Kingdom.

Adopting a horse is a long-term commitment that almost always requires either land or a boarding stable. The shelter will discuss the horse's training level, vet history, and what kind of work or companionship they're suited for. Expect ongoing costs: feed, farrier, vet, and stabling.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

Frequently asked

Adopting Giuseppe the Elf, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Giuseppe the Elf?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Here4Horses handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Giuseppe the Elf on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Giuseppe the Elf if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a horse can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Here4Horses what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Giuseppe the Elf already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a horse comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Here4Horses directly what is included and what Giuseppe the Elf still needs.
What happens if Giuseppe the Elf isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Here4Horses early rather than rehoming privately; they know Giuseppe the Elf and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
