Gor 309/2024 Moimi

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years

Gor arrived at our shelter on 11.07.2024. He was found on Białostockiej Street in Sosnowce. Date of birth: July 2019. Gor is a beautiful representative of the long-haired German Shepherd. Yes, he is beautiful, but he also has his small needs. In this case, his captivating beauty unfortunately does not help. Gor does not like direct staring, especially by strangers, which stresses him out. One can assume that he was not socialized in his previous home and has had to deal with many situations on his own, leaving behind certain reactions that need to be addressed. Gor requires a clear, consistent caregiver who can lead him wisely, without a hint of aversion, and with joint work. He can be wary and withdrawn from new people at first, but over time, at his own pace, he forms relationships. He is a good communicator, but on walks, the caregiver must be his guide and slightly steer him and lead him properly. He requires a lot of support, which he often asks for by approaching. On walks, he is alert, observing a lot, but increasingly in quiet places, he begins to sniff around freely. In the future home, he must be the only one. He reacts strongly to passing dogs or cats. Gor is a wonderful dog, focused on humans, if he already trusts. He is smart, quickly learns, and it brings him great joy. He loves long walks and playing in the park. The future caregiver must be an active person, loving movement. Walking dozens of kilometers together should not be a requirement, and waiting for part of the day to enjoy quality time with the dog should be a joy. Gor will not be adopted to a home with small children; the preferred age for children is 16+. He needs a quiet home without excessive disturbances. Gor is working on controlling his emotions and calming down; the future caregiver will have to continue this work. Gor will not be adopted to a house or kennel run. He will not be adopted as a live alarm for the yard. A home with a garden is ideal, but with the possibility of entering the facility and living next to his caregivers in the facility. The future caregiver should know the specifics of the breed and its needs. Adoption is not decided by the order of applications; we reserve the right to choose the best home. Gor has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Full adoption procedures apply, including a pre-adoption visit, a walk to get to know him, signing an adoption agreement, and paying the adoption fee (80 zł). To adopt a dog, you must have a leash and collar.

Gor trafił do schroniska 11.07.2024r. został znaleziony na ul. Białostockiej w Sosnowcu. Data urodzenia: lipiec 2019 Gor to przepiękny przedstawiciel długowłosego owczarka niemieckiego. Gor niezostanie wydany do domu z małymi dziećmi, preferowany wiek dzieci to 16+. Przyszły opiekun powinien znać specyfikę rasy i potrzeby. O adopcji nie decyduje kolejność zgłoszeń, zastrzegamy sobie prawo do wyboru najlepszego domu. Został odrobaczony, odpchlony, zaszczepiony, zachipowany i wykastrowany. Obowiązuje pełna procedura adopcyjna, wizyta przed i poadopcyjna, spacery zapoznawcze, podpisanie umowy schroniskowej i uiszczenie opłaty adopcyjnej (80zł). Aby adoptować psa należy mieć smycz i obrożę. Kontakt: Klaudia 512 721 232 (jeśli nie odbieram, zostaw sms o treści GOR)

Frequently asked

Adopting Gor 309/2024 Moimi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gor 309/2024 Moimi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Sosnowiec handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gor 309/2024 Moimi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gor 309/2024 Moimi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Sosnowiec will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Gor 309/2024 Moimi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gor 309/2024 Moimi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Sosnowiec early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gor 309/2024 Moimi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
