Grace has been a bit of a behavioral challenge for us. She arrived at the shelter with her large kittens. Both Grace and the kittens were afraid of us, and it took some time to get in touch with them properly. Grace had a lot of trouble settling in at the shelter, but we suspected that it would help when she no longer had to take care of her kittens. Now the kittens are over 12 weeks old, and Grace has moved into a room with other adult cats. Here, Grace has flourished, and she has shown herself to be a fun, playful cat full of mischief. She wants to get in touch with the other cats, and she actually also wants to get in touch with us. She often runs towards us to be petted, but at the last moment she becomes restless and turns away from us. Then she stands and rubs against the furniture until we come over to her and start petting her. Grace loves to lie on one of the high sleeping areas, and if we find a stool so we can reach her, then it's cuddle time. Then she rolls around and enjoys being petted. Grace will be a really fun and cuddly troublemaker when she finds her very own home, where she can feel safe and relaxed. Grace will eventually have access to outdoor life.

Grace har været lidt af en adfærdsmæssig udfordring for os. Hun ankom til internatet sammen med sine store killinger. Både Grace og killingerne var bange for os, og det tog en del tid at komme ordentlig i kontakt med dem. Grace havde meget svært ved at falde til på internatet, men vi havde en formodning om, at det ville hjælpe, når hun ikke længere skulle passe på sine killinger. Nu er killingerne over 12 uger, og Grace er flyttet ind i et rum med andre voksne katte. Her er Grace blomstret op, og hun har vist sig at være en sjov, legesyg kat, som er fuld af løjer. Hun vil gerne i kontakt med de andre katte, og hun vil faktisk også gerne i kontakt med os. Hun kommer ofte løbende mod os for at blive kælet med, men i sidste øjeblik bliver hun urolig og drejer væk fra os. Så står hun i stedet og gnider sig op ad møblementet, indtil vi kommer over til hende og begynder at nusse hende. Grace elsker at ligge på en af de høje sovepladser, og hvis vi finder en skammel frem, så vi kan nå hende, så er der dømt nussetid. Så ruller hun rundt og nyder at blive kælet med. Grace bliver en rigtig sjov og kælen ballademager, når hun først finder sit helt eget hjem, hvor hun kan føle sig tryg og afslappet. Grace skal på sigt have adgang til udelivet.
