Graje

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Hola My name is Graje, I am just under 2 years old and about 46 cm tall. There isn't much more to tell about me yet. Perhaps that isn't so important, though. What matters much more is who I am today. I am a very gentle and somewhat submissive male dog. I get along well with other dogs, and cats are no problem for me either. 🐶🐱 When I don't know someone yet, I am at first a little shy. I simply need some time until I realize that everything is alright and that I may trust. That is why I wish for people who won't pressure me and who give me the time I need. And then there is one small peculiarity about me: my tail is a bit shorter than on other dogs. It looks as though I was born that way. In any case, it belongs to me just as it is. 😊 Really, I don't wish for very much: a home where I can feel safe, people I can trust, and someone who shows me how beautiful life can be. Perhaps you are the person with whom I may someday say: this is where I belong. ❤️ I would be very happy about a personal inquiry! Warm regards, Your Graje Graje is still looking for a sponsor! About Graje

What life with Graje looks like

Graje is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Stiftung vergessene Hunde in Vergessene Hunde.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Graje, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Graje?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stiftung vergessene Hunde handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Graje on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Graje if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stiftung vergessene Hunde will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Graje already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Graje isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stiftung vergessene Hunde early rather than rehoming privately; they know Graje and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
