Reserved - Grey (M) +/- 6 years - Looking for a foster family (BLC w13440051720) Characteristics Date of birth: 1/01/2020 Sex: Male Registered with LOF/LOSH/ISDS: No Disabilities: No Child friendly: Does not know Social with dogs: Yes Social with cats: Not known Social with others: No Character History Grey was found wandering in the street and put in a pound. He has been there for more than two and a half years. It is a real hell for him, without visits, without contacts, without outings and minimum cleanliness. Everything scares him, except the comfort of other dogs. He allowed himself to be touched during a volunteer's visit, but he was obviously not comfortable. If BorderlineCollie finds him a foster family, he will be able to leave this hell on November 22nd. Foster home sought A family that knows very shy dogs from Romania. With a calm countryside environment and a perfectly fenced yard. Must have another friendly dog. No young children. A very, very patient family! And ready to do anything to welcome a dog that may not be housebroken at first, who cannot be taken out of the house for weeks, who will be hardly approachable. BorderlineCollie is a non-profit organization. In order to continue our work of fostering and rehabilitating Border collies, we ask for a contribution to adoption fees for the dogs we rehome Adoption Neutered/spayed: Yes Vaccinated: Yes Identifier: 642094100205729 Address: Romania Contact person: Nathalie Tixhon from Spa or Laetis Willow Milou Bludy via messenger Email: Share on PinterestShare with your friendsYour NameYour EmailRecipient EmailEnter a MessageI read this article and found it very interesting, I think you might like it. About Grey

What life with Grey looks like

Grey is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Border Line Collie in borderlinecollie.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Grey, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Grey?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Border Line Collie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Grey on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Grey if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Border Line Collie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Grey already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Grey isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Border Line Collie early rather than rehoming privately; they know Grey and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
